With its beautiful stone cottages, noble old hall, fine church and duck pond, Tissington is a picture-perfect village. Visit Tissington Hall, home to the FitzHerbert family for over 400 years or enjoy a walk along the Tissington Trail (less than 10 minutes from Ashbourne Heights)



Located just outside the boundary of the Peak District National Park, Ashbourne is a vibrant market town that is central to life in the southern end of the Peaks. It’s packed with shops, bars, restaurants and there’s a busy calendar of local events! (10 minutes from Ashbourne Heights)


Located in Dovedale, Hartington is a pretty village that is set in some of the best walking country! The scenery around this charming limestone village is outstanding and it boasts some fine old buildings. There’s also a selection of shops and pubs. (20 minutes from Ashbourne Heights)


The only market town within the Peak District National Park boundary, Bakewell is a hive of activity. Boasting attractive courtyards, independent shops, cafes and restaurants, it is blessed with a beautiful location on the River Wye. (30 minutes from Ashbourne Heights)


With its impressive church, known as the Cathedral of the Peaks, Tideswell is certainly worth a visit. It’s a thriving community with its shops, pubs and cafes, and is an excellent base for exploring the northern end of the Peaks. (35 minutes from Ashbourne Heights)
